Tata Motors recently launched the updated Tata Tiago and Tigor. And now, the company has launched the updated 2025 Tata Tiago NRG. The Tiago NRG is a rugged, crossover-style version of the Tata Tiago hatchback designed for those who prefer an SUV-like stance in a compact car, the Tiago NRG features slightly better ground clearance, body cladding, roof rails, and skid plates to make it look more rugged. Let’s take a look at what’s new in the updated model.

Talking about the price and variants first, the Tiago NRG is no longer offered with an entry-level XT variant; it’s now offered in a single top-spec XZ variant with prices starting from Rs 7.2 lakh and going up to Rs 8.75 lakh (ex-showroom), depending on the powertrain. The NRG is about Rs 30,000 more expensive than the regular Tiago and is offered in CNG, AMT, MT and petrol AMT and MT gearbox options. The NRG is powered by a 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder, NA petrol engine which puts out 86 hp of power (73 hp in CNG).
In terms of design, the Tiago features new silver skid plates on both the front and rear bumpers, along with newly designed 15-inch wheel covers for the steel wheels. In addition to these updates, the NRG distinguishes itself from the standard Tiago with distinctive black side cladding, black roof rails, and an NRG emblem adorning the tailgate.

Moving inside, the overall interior layout is the same and also shares the same set of features found in the Tiago XZ trim. It gets all-black interior with 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a rear camera, auto headlights and wipers, a digital instrument cluster, an illuminated flat-bottom steering wheel, a shark fin antenna, a cooled glove box, 4 speakers, steering-mounted controls, an Electronic Stability Program (ESP), Hill Hold Control (HHC), a rear defogger, front dual airbags, ABS with EBD, and 3-point ELR seat belts with reminders for all seats. It also features ISOFIX child seat mounts, rear parking sensors, manual HVAC and much more.
However, it misses out on features found on the Tiago XZ Plus, such as 15-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, front fog lamps, rear wiper with washer, cruise control, a USB Type-C port, and a Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS)
