Donald Trump: Focus on Migrants and Crime, Not Putin – Key Takeaways | World News – The Times of India

'Spend less time worrying about Putin, focus on migrants, murderers': Trump

US President Donald Trump on Sunday said that we should worry less about Russian President Putin and instead focus on domestic concerns, particularly including issues related to migrants involved in criminal activities within the country.
Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform: “We should spend less time worrying about Putin, and more time worrying about migrant rape gangs, drug lords, murderers, and people from mental institutions entering our Country – So that we don’t end up like Europe!”
The President’s comes close on the heels of his heated exchange with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy during a press briefing at the White House.
Trump described the Ukrainian leader as “disrespectful” during his showdown with Zelenskyy, concluded with Zelensky departing the White House without finalising an expected agreement regarding mineral rights sharing.
Earlier during his meeting with Zelenskyy, UK PM Starmer said he had worked with France and Ukraine on a plan to end the war and that the group of leaders — mostly from Europe — had agreed on four things.
The meeting, organised by Starmer, took place at Lancaster House, a historic building near Buckingham Palace, following his diplomatic efforts with Macron to convince Trump to prioritise Ukraine in negotiations and strengthen European alliances.
The summit included representatives from Germany, Denmark, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Spain, Canada, Finland, Sweden, the Czech Republic and Romania. Additional attendees included the Turkish foreign minister, NATO’s secretary-general, and the presidents of both the European Commission and European Council.
