NEW DELHI: Young Indian pacer Arshdeep Singh on Wednesday scripted history, becoming the country’s leading wicket-taker in T20Is during the opening game of the five-match series against England at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar stands third on the list with 90 wickets from 87 games. Jasprit Bumrah and Hardik Pandya follow closely, tied at 89 wickets, with Bumrah achieving the mark in just 70 matches compared to Hardik’s 110 appearances.
Arshdeep’s journey has been a revelation for Indian cricket. Known for his precise yorkers and ability to bowl in the death overs, he has become a go-to bowler for the team in crunch situations.
