Assam DEE Teacher Recruitment 2025: The Directorate of Elementary Education (DEE) Assam has issued a recruitment notification for Assistant Teachers in Lower Primary (LP) schools and Assistant Teachers, Science Teachers, and Hindi Teachers in Upper Primary (UP) schools. This recruitment drive aims to fill 4,500 teacher vacancies, with 2,900 posts for LP schools and 1,600 posts for UP schools.

The online application process for the DEE Assam Teacher Recruitment 2025 will commence on February 15, 2025, and continue until March 31, 2025.

Assam DEE Teacher Recruitment 2025: Selection Process

The selection process for these positions will be merit-based, relying on candidates’ academic performance in Higher Secondary (or equivalent) examinations, Graduation, Diploma in Education, and Teachers’ Eligibility Test (TET). Separate merit lists will be published for each district and category on the official DEE Assam website.

Assam DEE Teacher Recruitment 2025: Marking criteria

For Assistant Teachers, Science Teachers, and Hindi Teachers in UP Schools:

  • 5% of marks secured in Higher Secondary/Senior Secondary (or equivalent) examination.
  • 5% of marks secured in the Graduation exam (if a candidate has a major subject, those marks will be considered).
  • 5% of marks secured in Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed), Bachelor of Education (B.Ed), D.Ed. (Special Education), or B.Ed. (Special Education).
  • 80% of marks secured in the Teachers’ Eligibility Test (TET) for Upper Primary Schools.
  • Maximum of 5 marks for extracurricular activities.

For Assistant Teachers in LP Schools:

  • 5% of marks secured in Higher Secondary/Senior Secondary (or equivalent) examination.
  • 5% of marks secured in Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed), Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed), or Diploma in Education (Special Education).
  • 85% of marks secured in the Teachers’ Eligibility Test (TET) for Lower Primary Schools.
  • Maximum of 5 marks for extracurricular activities.
