Cricket Australia has appointed seasoned sports administrator Todd Greenberg as its new chief executive, succeeding Nick Hockley following a challenging five-year tenure.
Greenberg previously served as the head of the Australian Cricketers’ Association, where he represented players in negotiations with Cricket Australia.
He also has experience as the chief executive of Australia’s National Rugby League.
“Thanks to the work of the current administration the game has strong fundamentals in place,” Greenberg said in a statement released by Cricket Australia.

“I want to ensure we build on this momentum so Australian cricket continues to thrive — from local parks to the nation’s biggest stadiums.”
Hockley announced his resignation in August after a tumultuous stint as chief executive.
During his tenure, he faced a high-profile dispute with a major Australian television network over cricket broadcast rights.
Additionally, he was criticised for his handling of David Warner’s attempt to overturn a leadership ban.
