The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has issued a notice regarding the UPSC Civil Services Examination 2025, listing rejected candidates. The commission stated that it did not receive bank confirmation for the ₹100 application fee. As a result, the applications of 43 candidates have been rejected due to non-payment of the fee.
The notice reads, ‘With reference to the to your application for Civil Service (Preliminary) examination, 2025, confirmation has NOT been received from the Bank authorities regarding receipt of Fee of Rs 100/- in respect of the following 43 candidates for Civil Service (Preliminary) Examination, 2025 listed herein. In view of the provisions contained in the Commission’s Examination Notice dated 21.01.2025 for the above examination uploaded on the commission’s website, applications of all these candidates for the said examination have been rejected.’

The notice further states that candidates may appeal against the rejection within 10 days, providing the original hard copy of relevant documents—such as the system-generated challan, debit/credit card statement, or bank account statement—as applicable. Appeals must be sent by speed post or by hand to Smt. Kiran K. Arora, Under Secretary (CSP), UPSC, at the specified address. The deadline for appeals is March 17, 2025.
