Watch: England gear up for first T20I against India at Eden Gardens

NEW DELHI: With India and England scheduled to play the first T20I of the white-ball series on Wednesday, the Jos Buttler-led side had their first practice session at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Monday.
Buttler is set to play the series against India only as a batsman and will not keep wickets.
England Cricket shared a video of the team arriving at the historic ground on Monday on their official X handle with Buttler leading the way:

The India series marks England’s first limited-overs tour under coach Brendon McCullum, previously in charge only of the Test side.
India had their first practice session for the series on Sunday and led by Suryakumar Yadav, are favourites on home turf.

The Indian pace bowling attack has been boosted by the return of Mohammed Shami after he recovered from an injury.
Shami, returning to the national fold after more than a year following injury and prolonged rehabilitation, last played for India in the ODI World Cup, where he finished as the highest wicket-taker with 24 wickets from 7 matches.
